Seriously, it has been four years since I dipped my toe into the world of professional photography. Starting out with a $20 headshot session. One day only. A 15-minute session and your choice of five headshots from the session shoot. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. I sold out all the slots. Most were friends or friends of friends. And to them I owe my everlasting gratitude because they built my portfolio. I was able to showcase a diversity of faces that attracted full price-paying clients from LinkedIn. These are just a few of them from that wonderful first session in December 2015.
By 2016, I finally finished my website then mustered the courage to respond to RFPs on LinkedIn Profinder. That's when I met Tony Gil. My real first client who didn't want my basic $99 headshot, but instead bought the Basic Plus package, which was an hour-long and two wardrobe session.
The rest, as they say, is history. In addition to thanking the multitude of clients who've trusted in my skill as a photographer to capture their special moments, I'd be remiss if I didn't thank the two NYU photography professors, Lawrence Wheatman and John hart. And also courses from Creative Live from Gary Hughes and Peter Hurley. So onward and upward to more exciting things in this new late-stage career of mine. Stay tuned for the latest.
